It’s an exciting time to be at Bromford as its business continues to grow and evolve, with an opportunity to develop professionally and gain experience in a transforming and supportive Finance team.

This role provides key transactional finance services to the organisation, services will be delivered to an agreed standard and business deadline, supported by an overriding Service Level agreement (SLA) and associated policies and controls. Providing exceptional support to help deliver a great service.

To be considered for this role, you will have come from a similar role within a large organisation operating with a shared service set up within Finance, or this may suit an experienced Accounts Payable Manager with vast experience of 3rd party payments.

You will:

  • Transition day to day transactional treasury activity from 3 legacy businesses to one new function, (All 3rd party payments, Credit and Procurement card activity, Banking Administration, Payment Approval)
  • Review, challenge, align and document processes that will be rolled out within the new function
  • Set up and transfer a new banking platform
  • Review banking access for all 3 organisations and align in line with the new structure to support the day to day activity within the function
  • Roll out replacement corporate card functionality within a small part of the business
  • Provide line manager support to a small team through the transition ensuring they are best placed to support the function thereafter.

What do you need?

  • To be a qualified accountant or equivalent
  • At least 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at Grade C or above, to include Maths & English would be desirable
  • Ideally, you will have some knowledge and awareness of the Housing Sector
  • Experience of managing a small team, driving and supporting change
  • Experience of specialist support/service area
  • Ability to support others using technical and professional experiences
  • Ability to review and challenge a process, with both an operational and compliance view
  • Has experience working within a customer service driven function
  • Ability to focus on completing a task with accuracy within the agreed timescales
  • Experienced in Excel and other Microsoft products.
