Position: Compliance Manager – Leasehold Property Management

Location: Hybrid (Home /Office - 74 King Edward St, Macclesfield SK10 1AT)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 0900 – 1730

Salary: Competitive

Contract: Full time, permanent

Job Description:

The Compliance team are responsible for ensuring statutory health, safety & data protection compliance within their areas of responsibility and the property management portfolio. Ensuring that adequate processes exist for the safe working of all employees and contractors associated with the business and ensuring robust systems exist to provide suitable protection of all data processing activities.

This role will support the Operations Director in ensuring the organisation’s Health and Safety Policy is developed and complies with all aspects of the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974, The Data Protection Act 2018 together with other applicable statutory requirements, legislation, regulation, and directives which relate to the hazards encountered.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop relevant health, safety & environmental protection information and circulate across the Company and ensure that procedures are reviewed periodically and amended where necessary.
  • Develop and implement of procedures, Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) within the business.
  • Be responsible for Fire Risk Assessments ane completing in the required timeframes and any follow up actions are agreed and progressed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure sufficient audits and inspections of all workplaces and practices are carried out, in accordance with a monitored programme.
  • Audit and manage approved contractors to ensure adequate health and safety is being adhered to in accordance with the supplied Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS), company policy and best practice.
  • Review Audit Reports/Safety Inspection Reports and advise the Operations Director of any required actions.

What We Ask From You:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Grad IOSH or higher
  • Post qualification experience in M&E, Construction, FM or Property Management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and practice
  • Manage workloads and undertake project management and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act 2018 & GDPR
  • Experience working in a client facing environment
  • Proven track record of providing bespoke solutions to H&S & data protection matters.
  • Self-starter and driven individual, someone who motivates themselves and can do so for others. •
  • Able to use initiative and be adaptable.
  • Self-motivated with a willing and friendly approach.
