You’ll be our dedicated Crew Planning Co-Ordinator for Ocean Cruise. Reporting to our Crewing Manager you will support 1000 + crewing colleagues employed by Saffron Maritime.

No day will be the same, you will be key to delivering our people strategy across; Recruitment, onboarding, training programmes, coaching, colleague engagement and the critical part - workforce planning for our crewing schedules.

We will need you to be located close to our Southampton hub and able to attend the office 2 to 3 days a week. Sometimes you could be required to support our managers outside the normal working hours of a typical HR function. You will get the change to onboard!

Main Responsibilities

Our new Planning Co-Ordinator will be responsible for the following;

  • Creating and managing crew schedules up to 18 months in advance for Hotel Crewing Roles. This will include monitoring performance, onboard promotions, career progression and succession planning
  • Vessel Visits to build relationships with heads of departments 
  • Provide ongoing support to line managers.
  • Lead and implement recruitment, training and rotations for all onboard colleagues within the Hotel Crewing area.
  • Advising on the performance management of onboard crew and any employment contract matters
  • Onboarding and offboarding of colleagues
  • Coordination and the reporting of E-learning
  • Responsible for delivering and reviewing Colleague Engagement Surveys
  • Ensure compliance relating to Certification and other documents required to perform roles onboard
  • Working with Crewing Co-Ordinator to ensure crew travel, logistics and accommodation are organised and purchased efficiently in order to meet budgetary requirements

Desirable:

  • Have an understanding of a Cruising crewing function (or relevant similar industry)
  • Or have previously worked in Crewing, HR or Employee Relations, either on-shore or off-shore
