The Vacancy

The Marketing Student Recruitment Officer role will be working under supervision of the Marketing and Student Recruitment Manager, to help drive the recruitment of learners to the college (Full Time, Part Time, Apprenticeships) through a variety of platforms both online and offline.

This role is responsible for managing the social media profiles of Kidderminster College across a variety of platforms and creating content for each platform (including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn)

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for marketing content including videography and photography, both digital and offline

Driving engagement and brand awareness across all social media platforms
Responsible for the creation of content for a variety of audiences and demographics including potential applicants, parents and guardians, stakeholders and staff. To modify and create content fit for various platforms including social media, using marketing segmentation to ensure videos are fit for each platform.
Working with the Marketing Officer to produce content to supplement printed materials such as prospectus’.
Working with the Admissions team and School Liaison Officer to create engaging content suitable for applicants, school leavers, and supporting with the ongoing recruitment from our identified recruiting schools.
Researching market trends to ensure our presence online and offline is effective and developing in line with our target audience’s needs.
To maintain and update the Kidderminster College website with engaging content and information.
The organisation and implementation of events for the college such as Open Evenings, School Events.
To support the admissions function of the college, including communication to applicants and progressing students.
To undertake copywriting, editing and proofing of marketing material, ensuring the accuracy of information at all time, including literature, website copy, promotional materials, email campaigns, social media content and manage the associated production processes with Graphic Design colleagues.
To liaise with external suppliers on key projects, for example photographers, design agencies, advertising agencies and media buyers to support marketing and communications campaigns across the college group.
Work collaboratively with group Marketing and Communications colleagues across our network to identify opportunities, share best practice and identify cost efficiencies.
