We are currently recruiting for a Relief Plant - Multi Skilled Operative to join our regional Asphalt manufacturing teams. The role will be based across our West Midlands Asphalt operational sites ranging from Worcester to Birmingham and anywhere in between, the role is commutable from such locations such as Birmingham, Worcester, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Halesowen, Redditch, Studley, Shirley, Solihull, Coventry, Smethwick, Cradley Heath, Rowley Regis and the surrounding areas.

Reporting directly to our Plant Supervisor’s. The Relief Plant - Multi Skilled Operative will work dynamically across multiple sites providing support as and when this is required to boost productivity and enhance our performance. You will work on the day-to-day operations of mixing Asphalt, driving mobile plant and other site duties, you will work with the team to the sites plan, you will be able to integrate in to the sites team and work alongside new teams on a daily/weekly basis with the team knowing you are able to step in and be adaptable.

ESSENTIAL - Previous experience working mixing Asphalt is essential in this role and we will not consider applicants without this experience

Your responsibilities as the Relief Plant - Multi Skilled Operative will include (not exhaustive):

• Mixing Asphalt to our customers specifications
• Operating both Fixed and Mobile Plant on sites
• Working with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveries
• Assist the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets
• Follow SHE policies and procedures
• Ensure Plant conforms with safety requirements at all times
• Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
• Inspections on the plant and acting on defects and implement remedial action
• Ensure that plant availability is maximised
• Working to keep housekeeping around site to a high standard

ESSENTIAL - This is a mobile role so you will hold a full UK manual car driving license with no more than 6 penalty points

Flexibility and adaptability are key to this role with Overtime available to meet with our sites production requirements

To succeed in the role of a Relief Plant - Multi Skilled Operative the following is what we are looking for in a future colleague:

• Knowledge of Asphalt Plant operations
• IT Literate
• Good Timekeeping – flexible as to the site requirements 
• Good Communication skills – bringing problems to the attention of Line Management
• Previous experience in driving / operating mobile plant - highly desirable

• Full UK manual car Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points
