Leading the Process Development team in order to successfully deliver all relevant line trials and improvement projects in line with customer and company requirements

  • Leading the Process team through the planning, preparation and execution phase of process development and line trials along with relevant projects to deliver customer requirements and manufacturing improvements
  • Deploy product development and technical strategy by providing process, material and equipment knowledge in order to meet customer and company requirement
  • Track progress and resolve development issues identified within the trialling stages in order to achieve timely implementation of key projects or targeted launch dates
  • • Develop and implement joint business planning strategies and projects with the customer in order to agree aligned objectives, time scales and outputs
  • Drive and deliver continuous improvement projects, analysing trial output data within the department, to deliver process, quality and equipment capability improvements for the manufacturing unit, retailer and Division
  • Deploy the technical people strategy, for process development colleagues, to support a lean enterprise culture and aid colleagues to maximise their potential
  • • Ensure that a safe working environment exists for all colleagues and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in the SHE Policy

We are currently recruiting a Process Development Manager for our Selby site. 

What we’re looking for

• Degree level or equivalent substantial food manufacturing experience

• Advanced Food Hygiene level 4

• Level 3 HACCP certified

• Retailer liaison knowledge and experience at technologist level

• Relevant Food Science food technology or Micro biological qualification • Competent in the use of customer technical databases

• Strategy implementation • Knowledge of KPI generation

• Operate Root Cause Analysis techniques for problem solving

• Sensory Training Level 2 • Evaluate and interpretation of shelf life results • Expertise in interpretation of customer code of practice

• Food Legislation and legal knowledge

• Practical management of allergens

• Level 2 Health and Safety

• Hygienic design and best practice knowledge
