Following investment by Inflexion and ICG private equity firms in March 2020, the group is in a strong position to pursue its strategy of growing technology led business models both in the UK and internationally. The group currently has revenue of £270m, employs nearly 5,000 staff and has a network of 1,000 self-employed enforcement agents.

The business operates 21 lines of business across several trading entities, primarily in the UK. These businesses are organized into Upstream (civil parking enforcement, road tolling and traffic flow management) and Downstream (motor vehicle recovery, criminal and High Court debt collection, road traffic fines, commercial metering).

The business development team covers growth across the entire Group, with double digit targets across the different lines of business.

The Position

The Financial Analyst - Business Development is responsible for complex pricing submissions not undertaken by the Bid team as well as maintaining and reporting required by the Group Business Development Director and Finance function on business development activity.

The position reports to the Finance Director - Business Development & Upstream and provides the individual lines of business’ business development leaders with financial analysis. Whilst reporting through the Finance function, the role will involve working with the Bid team and taking direction from the Group Business Development Director.

There is a small team of financial analysts across the finance function with a drive for consistency of information across the team. The finance function is structured with the typical front, middle and back office teams and comprises around 70 people

Key Responsibilities

  • Completion of complex contract tender pricing submissions
  • Financial review of other business development opportunities
  • Reporting of business development information
  • Analysis of key KPI’s

Personal Attributes

  • Experienced advanced excel user
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • An ability to work in ast-paced busy environment
  • Prior experience of tender pricing submissions essential
  • Experience of pricing IT/Software solutions essential
  • Experience of a service led business model in the public or private sectors preferable
  • An ability to work with different types of people
  • An eye for detail while understanding the bigger picture
  • Adept at communicating and presenting financial information in a clear business language

The location for the role is London with travel as required to regional offices and the centralised finance hub in Oldham. At present, the entire team is working remotely from home due to Coivd-19
