Assistive Technology Officer
£21,589-£23,836 per annum (part time pro rata) plus enhancements for unsociable hours
Based at Harvey Road, Bilborough, Nottingham, NG8 3BB
18.5 hours per week: 11pm - 4am, working 4 days on and 4 days off on a rota basis (including weekends and bank holidays).

Nottingham on Call is our 24/7 call centre providing specialist advice and support primarily to elderly residents across Nottingham City and surrounding areas who use our Telecare emergency response systems. We also act as an emergency repairs centre for tenants outside of office hours.
Joining an established team of Assistive Technology Officers, you will provide a flexible and responsive service catered to the needs of our customers and business. Your main duty will be to answers calls from elderly customers who may require assistance. You will also travel to customers’ homes in emergencies providing reassurance pending the arrival of the emergency services, install Telecare equipment and also monitor data received from customers who are part of the Telehealth project.
You will have ideally have some knowledge of working in a service that deliveries services to vulnerable people and/or in a call related environment. Experience of working with elderly and vulnerable clients would be advantageous. As the role requires the ability to empathise and respond according to their individual needs. Training will be provided on installing Telecare equipment.
Using your excellent interpersonal skills, you will deploy your calm and professional approach to deal with a range of issues facing tenants, from day to day to life threatening situations, responding to clients who may be in distress. You will deliver an efficient, effective, courteous and professional service to all service users and ensure that the highest level of customer service standards are met and targets are achieved. You will have a proven track record communicating effectively at all levels in both individual and group situations.
You must have a full driving licence.
