YMCA England & Wales are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to work across the whole organisation, taking ownership of health and safety and helping to build and embed a positive health and safety culture.
This is an exciting new role with the opportunity to influence the health and safety strategy and play a key part of future policy and practise across the organisation. Home based with frequent travel, this is an exciting and varied role working with our London head office team and Retail management, across our 90 stores throughout England and Wales.
Reporting to the Head of Property and Estates and using a high degree of autonomy, the post holder will lead on all aspects of health and safety and be instrumental in ensuring the organisation meets its health and safety obligations. They will engage, inspire and coach our teams to make health and safety an integral part of day-to-day business.
You will lead the organisation through the Covid-19 Government requirements, ensuring that our workplaces and stores are Covid-19 safe places to work, donate and shop. Most of all, you will have the skills to positively influence, motivate and inspire at all levels, making health and safety an integral part of day to day business for all staff, volunteers, managers and leaders of the organisation.
