We have an exciting opportunity for two Legal Childcare Support Officer to join our friendly and fast paced team. The Childcare Support Officer will be responsible for ensuring that requests from Childcare Lawyers and Social Workers are actioned promptly and with excellent attention to detail. The Childcare Support Officer will also be responsible for maintaining information databases and being a guardian for our case management system, Prescient Plus as well as our online bundling tool Caselines.
The post holder will be expected to meet strict deadlines, therefore ability to cope under pressure is essential. The post holder will also be expected to provide ad-hoc secretarial support to lawyers e.g. preparing bundles, creating and amending documents and answering telephone calls. Other duties include administration work with regards to loaning and return of the county’s deeds and agreements, stored centrally at our premises in County Hall.
You will be responsible for creating, amending and overseeing the management of large, complex Childcare files from beginning to end. On top of this, you will be required to access deeds and agreements that are located on different levels within County Hall. You will be required to organise, locate, retrieve, and lift such materials and climb stepladders to access these.
This role requires you to work cooperatively as part of a team to deliver seamless support to our Childcare Lawyers and Paralegals and provide an administrative service to clients from other departments within Surrey County Council.
The post is situated in a sensitive and confidential legal environment and requires exceptional organisational and IT skills, with the ability to prioritise work and a clear focus on meeting deadlines. The post holder will be expected to make straightforward decisions relating to their role, whilst maintaining strict confidentiality rules and excellent attention to detail.
This is a permanent, full time position, with the ability to develop and grow into more senior roles within the Childcare Legal Support team.
