We are looking for a newly qualified Registered Mental Health / Learning Disability Nurse (RMN / RNLD) to complete their Preceptorship programme, at our female high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service in Middlesex.
You will be working 38.5 hours per week on days and nights at Cygnet Kenton.
Cygnet Lodge Kenton, in North-West London, provides a care pathway for service users who are preparing to step down to community living. Our service provides a high level of support and uses a recovery focused model.

Your programme includes...
• Support from Cygnet’s Preceptorship Development Manager
• Minimum two shifts per week working with your nominated preceptor
• Preceptee supernumery 1st week on ward
• Monthly CPD Days off the ward (specialist and general)
• Clinical supervision, minimum 1 session per month
• Managerial supervision, minimum 1 session per month
• Preceptee Group Meetings on site and across the Cygnet group
• Certificate and letter of completion
• Excellent training opportunities
An action plan will then be created by you and your preceptor for the following six months to enhance identified strengths and address areas of development, taking you to your first annual appraisal.
A RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number or awaiting to qualify, you’ll have…

•Capable to maintain documentation and undertake audits
•Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & have an understanding of latest nursing practices
•Able to deputise in a clinical lead role
•Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk

Cygnet Health Care has been providing a national network of high quality specialist mental health services for 30 years
Cygnet Lodge Kenton provides treatment for women experiencing complex mental illness, personality disorder or mild eating disorders. The service helps them to re-establish and develop the skills they need to progress. We are able to support up to 15 women who may have a range of mental health difficulties.
Some service users may have been referred to us from personality disorder services, low secure services, or from acute wards. The purpose of Cygnet Lodge Kenton is to bridge the gap between a hospital stay and the community.
We also host a yearly Staff Award ceremony held at Harrow school (black tie event).
