An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on marketing specialist to help United Learning schools across the country with pupil and staff recruitment and retention.

United Learning is a group of schools which aims to provide excellent education to children and young people across the country. Our schools provide an education with character and the successful candidate will support schools in promoting their successes.

Key tasks will include:

  • Supporting schools with the updating of web pages by creating engaging, welcoming content, uploading content and images and completing compliance checks
  • Writing marketing literature
  • Briefing of design work to artworker
  • Supporting the Marketing Manager with planning virtual ‘drop-in sessions’ which provide expert advice and guidance on a range of subjects including social media, virtual open events and website content.

You will also support with the promotion of Group benefits to support recruitment and retention of staff and ensure that our Initial Teacher Training programme is effectively promoted at a local level.

You will work closely with the relevant project teams to support with the induction of new schools to the Group. This includes ensuring all print materials are branded correctly and that new websites are developed in conjunction with our web development team and are live for joining date.

This is a part-time role for 22.5 hours per week and is initially for 9 months to cover maternity leave but may be extended to 12 months.

Due to the current situation interviews will be conducted virtually and you will initially work remotely.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Two years working in a marketing role, ideally in a school setting but not essential.
  • Content writing experience beneficial
  • Basic CMS experience – training will be provided
  • An in-depth understanding of social media and how schools can use this channel to promote their proposition
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
