Tennial Personnel are seeking a Permanent Contract Manager to work for our clients based in Felixstowe Suffolk

OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE
To provide customer service, as well as working with Health and Safety, environmental issues, Human Resources issues, profit and loss accountability, facilities management, legal compliance, continuous improvement and business continuity.

KEY TASKS AND CAPABILITIES

Ensure the health & safety of those personnel working in the warehousing environment whilst maintaining a safe, clean and secure warehouse premise.
Maintain efficiently functioning warehouse facilities to ensure stock held is in good condition and to facilitate correct and timely movements into and out of the warehouse environment.
Ensure warehouse staff are instructed on the correct procedures for receiving goods, correct storage, stock rotation, processing orders and despatching goods to the highest standard.
Ensure materials are stored correctly so that there are no stock losses caused by material deterioration or physical damage.
Ensure appropriate and efficient direction and use of warehouse space with appropriate resource / personnel in place.
To plan, co-ordinate & control all inbound stocks / materials efficiently and ensure a controlled flow into and out of the warehouse environment.
Ensure all Stock and Perpetual Inventory checks are carried out effectively and as instructed by the Inventory Team
Implement and run warehouse team meetings and implement cost effective ideas geared towards improving efficiency or cost reduction ideas.
Maintain regular skills analysis and up to date job descriptions of warehouse personnel, with annual assessments for performance and necessary actions for training, development and motivation.
Ensure the proper time keeping and discipline of work force in accordance with Company and Employment Law regulations and in liaison with the Human Resources Department.
Ensure the proper and safe operation of all MHE by correctly instructed operators.
Ensure the safe keeping of all Company assets under your control and regularly check all security procedures.
To ensure the efficient and effective achievement of all contract targets and key performance indicators.

To ensure that customer requirements are fulfilled to the highest possible standards at all times.
Maintain an active commitment to the development of every member of your team in particular to:
Actively encourage the personal and professional development of your team, helping them continuously improve their skills and knowledge.
Provide them with regular feedback on their performance.
Ensure that the warehouse team are motivated and have the relevant skills, knowledge and attitude to contribute effectively to maximise productivity and profit.
Ensure a pro-active approach to cost and service performance improvement at all times.
Establish and maintain a good teamwork environment.
Maintain a regular communication with the customer, ensuring all KPI targets are achieved where possible.
Ensure regular meetings are held between internal clients , and ensure all lines of communication are managed, successfully at all times.

Skills
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies including Health and Safety at work act 1974, Working time directive, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Road traffic legislation, Planned maintenance, all company policy, food standard regulations, drivers hours regulations, operator’s licence, construction and use regulations, asbestos management and legionella management.

Managerial knowledge in terms of operations and personnel management.

Health and safety considerations such as interaction with plant and equipment and working in operational areas.

Knowledge of Financial KPI and routine compliance
