A unique opportunity has become available for a technically minded person with integrated facilities management background to join our team at the Greenwich University site as a Compliance Manager. Does it sound like your next career move?

You would manage the day to day hard services operations, ensuring that all compliance aspects are met, including the completion of all remedial statutory works. You would assist the management team in mitigating risk by understanding and supporting the delivery of contract obligations to service specifications, performance standards as well as the payment mechanism. This role also includes contractor and vendor management.

This role will suit a meticulous person with very high-level attention to detail and effective communication skills at all levels. To be successful in this role you must have a electrical/mechanical engineering qualification with a practical experience, a background in facilities management and a proven track record in a regulated and system-driven environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate and supervise all contractor hard service activities, including risk assessments, method statements and ensuring SSOW and permitting are upheld at all times
  • Carry out a programme of internal auditing to monitor compliance with all contractual obligations, and local operating procedures.
  • Liaise with Service Delivery Managers on a daily business ensuring key performance indicators are met and performance monitoring schedules are adhered to.
  • Analyse and interpret relevant data and take the lead in producing monthly reports to meet contractual requirements
  • Manage the sub-contractor relationships and performance and activity.
  • Displaying good financial awareness relating to delivery of maintenance activities and ensure that financial processes are always adhered to.
  • Support cost-effective procurement of engineering maintenance services and operate within annual engineering budgets for maintenance and repair of these services
  • Extract and manipulate relevant data from CAFM system into formats required for reports as required
  • Support contract teams in the production of customer satisfaction surveys and the analysis/reporting of responses
  • Ensure all PPM’s are carried out to schedule on time and also ensure completion of all Service Requests ensuring closing and completion in line with the SLA’s.
  • Be responsible for performance measurement of sub-contractors against SLA & KPI where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Technical background – electrical or mechanical
  • Proven track record in integrated facilities management
  • Experience in the use of software packages to extract, manipulate, report and present data
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and professional
  • An understanding of FM contracts (ideally NEC 4), key performance indicators and deliverables
  • Commercial awareness
  • The proven ability to work under pressure and deal with challenging situations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
