Children Support Worker

Location:Wolverhampton
Pay rate: £14.00 - £14.50 per hour-Weekly and Monthly Pay available!
Shift pattern:

• School Support: 8:00am - 4:00pm
• Nights: 8:00pm - 8:00am (Thursday & Friday)
• Nights: 7:00pm - 8:00am (Saturday & Sunday)

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and dedicated Female Children's Support Worker to support a young person with complex needs in their family home and school environment.

The young person has Severe Global Developmental Delay and Dystonia with Choreoathetoid Disorder and is non-verbal, communicating through eye movements and non-verbal cues. You will provide support with personal care, daily routines, PEG feeding, overnight care, and school attendance, while promoting wellbeing, safety, and independence. Working closely with the family and professionals, you will deliver person-centred care tailored to the young person's needs.

Experience & Skills

• Supporting children or young people with respiratory experience required
• Previous care, support work, healthcare, or educational support experience.
• A compassionate, patient, and person-centred approach.
• Confident supporting individuals with non-verbal communication needs.
• Strong observational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
• Willingness to undertake specialist training and develop new skills.
