Relief Security Officer

Location: Diageo Leven, Windygates Road, Leven, Fife, KY8 5HD
Working Hours: Average 48 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £13.95
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time
Shift Pattern: An average of four shifts per week, covering days and nights with no fixed working pattern. Day shifts: 06:00–18:00. Night shifts: 18:00–06:00.

As a Relief Security Officer at Sodexo, based at Diageo Leven, you’ll help protect our client’s people, premises and property. Your flexible approach and knowledge of security procedures will help maintain a safe and secure environment for colleagues, contractors and visitors.

Role Responsibility

• Provide flexible security cover across day and night shifts.

• Carry out patrols, identifying and reporting security risks or suspicious activity.

• Support access control and ensure visitors and contractors follow site procedures.

• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and emergencies.

• Maintain accurate records and provide clear shift handovers.

• Work with the Security Manager and colleagues to maintain site security standards.

The Ideal Candidate

• A valid frontline SIA licence.

• A valid first aid qualification.

• A valid driving licence with no more than six penalty points.

• Knowledge of basic security operations and procedures.

• Flexibility to work a varying rota, including days and nights.

• The ability to remain calm and respond effectively in an emergency.

• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

• Computer skills are desirable.

Appointment is subject to successful completion of vetting to BS7858 standard.
