At Sodexo, we create safe, welcoming and efficient environments where people can perform at their best. Our Security teams play an important role in protecting people, property and premises while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our client sites.

We are looking for a professional, reliable and approachable Security Officer to join our team in Somerset.

This is a varied role combining security, site access control, visitor management and logistics administration. You will be based within a dedicated security guardhouse, acting as one of the first points of contact for visitors, contractors and delivery drivers arriving on site.

If you enjoy working with people, have a good eye for detail and can balance security responsibilities with excellent customer service, this could be the opportunity for you.

.The Opportunity

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for managing site access and ensuring that all visitors, contractors and delivery vehicles follow the correct entry and exit procedures.

You will play a key role in the site's logistics operation, working at the weighbridge to record vehicle movements, check registrations and haulier details, and ensure accurate records are maintained.

You'll also provide a friendly and professional welcome to everyone arriving on site, helping to create a positive first impression while maintaining high security standards.

This is not a traditional mobile security or patrol-based position. You will primarily be based in the security guardhouse, monitoring site access, operating barriers and supporting the smooth movement of vehicles and visitors.

Register your interest today, and our recruitment team will be in touch when suitable Security Officers opportunities become available.
