Shift: 2pm – 10pm, Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Wood Saw Operative to join a busy manufacturing business based in Wakefield. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating industrial woodworking machinery to cut timber and sheet materials to specified sizes, ensuring all products meet required quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operating panel saws and other woodworking machinery safely and efficiently. Reading cutting lists and working from measurements and specifications. Measuring, cutting and preparing timber and board materials accurately. Carrying out quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications. Maintaining a clean and organised working area and following all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

Previous experience operating industrial wood saws or woodworking machinery is essential. Good understanding of measurements and cutting specifications. Strong attention to detail, a good work ethic and the ability to work as part of a busy production team.

Working Hours: 2pm – 10pm, Monday to Friday.
