Build partnerships that keep our care free for local people
We’re looking for a confident, people-focused relationship builder to join Willen Hospice as our Business & Partnerships Executive. You’ll help local businesses connect with our cause, developing long-term partnerships through sponsorship, events, staff fundraising, cause-related marketing and gifts in kind.
As part of our Strategic Fundraising & Partnerships, you’ll look after a portfolio of business supporters and build a healthy pipeline of new ones, making sure every partner feels valued, understood and connected to the difference they make.
If you enjoy building relationships, spotting opportunities and seeing the impact of your work in your own community, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do:
Build and manage a portfolio of business supporters, providing professional, personalised account management so every partner feels valued and informed.
Research and approach new businesses, shaping tailored partnership proposals and growing a strong pipeline of future support.
Create opportunities for companies to get involved through sponsorship, events, staff fundraising, payroll giving, cause-related marketing and gifts in kind.
Deliver stewardship plans that deepen relationships and encourage multi-year support.
Represent the Hospice at networking events, meetings and corporate events, working with Fundraising, Marketing and Supporter Care colleagues to share compelling stories of our impact.
Keep accurate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) records to support planning and reporting, ensuring all activity meets fundraising regulations and Hospice policies.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced in relationship management, fundraising, business development, account management or customer service.
A confident communicator who engages business contacts, donors and community members with clarity, warmth and professionalism.
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing deadlines and accounts.
Comfortable using CRM systems and data to prioritise relationships and spot new opportunities.
Knowledgeable about what motivates businesses to give, including corporate social responsibility.
A full, valid UK driving licence and aged 25 or over, in line with our insurance requirements, as this role involves regular travel across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
An awareness of charity sector practices and fundraising standards is important, and we’ll support your ongoing professional development.
