Security Officer

Location: Diageo, Whitehouse Industrial Estate, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 3BE
Pay: £13.95 per hour
Hours: 56 hours per week
Working pattern: Three day shifts, three night shifts, three days off
Contract: Permanent, full time

Join Sodexo as a Security Officer at Diageo Runcorn. You’ll support a safe, secure environment for employees, contractors and visitors, bringing a professional approach to our gatehouse operation.

If you have previous gatehouse security experience, a valid SIA licence and a driving licence, we’d like to hear from you.

What you’ll do

• Manage access to the site, checking visitors, contractors and vehicles.

• Provide a professional welcome and explain site security procedures.

• Maintain accurate visitor records, security logs and incident reports.

• Carry out patrols and report security concerns, hazards or faults.

• Respond to alarms and incidents in line with site procedures.

• Work closely with colleagues and site management to maintain security standards.

What you’ll bring

• A valid SIA licence.

• A valid driving licence.

• Previous experience in a security gatehouse role.

• Clear communication and good customer service skills.

• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.

• A calm, reliable approach and the ability to follow procedures.

• Availability to work the stated day and night rota.
