Help Shape the Roads, Footways and Cycleways That Keep Cambridgeshire Moving

Looking for a role where you can make a real difference to local communities every day?

Do you enjoy solving problems, working with people, getting out on site and being part of a team that delivers visible improvements across the county?

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

At Cambridgeshire County Council, we're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Asset Technician to join our Asset Management, Design & Delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in highways, engineering, infrastructure, construction or asset management while helping to maintain one of the county's most important public assets.

Why This Role Matters

Every resident, business, cyclist, pedestrian and vehicle user relies on Cambridgeshire's highway network every day.

As an Asset Technician, you'll help us plan, investigate and deliver maintenance activities that keep roads safer, improve journeys and ensure our communities stay connected. You'll support the development and delivery of planned highway maintenance works while helping us understand and respond to local priorities.

This is a role where you'll see the impact of your work first-hand.

For more information or to chat about this opportunity please contact Barry Wylie Asset Strategy & Systems Manager - Barry.Wylie@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
