Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Bendi Forklift Driver to join a well-established company in Rainham. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Bendi forklifts efficiently and safely to manage materials handling, shipping, and receiving tasks. This role is vital in maintaining smooth warehouse operations, ensuring that goods are loaded, unloaded, and stored accurately. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and to contribute to a dynamic environment.

Duties

Operate Bendi forklifts to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas
Handle materials with care, ensuring safe stacking and storage in accordance with safety protocols
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying inventory against documentation
Report maintenance needs promptly
Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure operational safety
Support the organisation of warehouse spaces for optimal efficiency
Assist with general warehouse duties, including stock rotation and inventory checks
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Skills

Proven experience operating Bendi forklifts or similar equipment in a warehouse setting
Good understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures
Strong materials handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely
Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes and documentation requirements
Basic maths skills for inventory counts
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking within the warehouse environment

Working hours:

Monday to Friday - 9:00am - 6:00pm

This role requires a dedicated individual capable of working safely and effectively in a busy warehouse setting. Candidates should possess relevant forklift certification and be committed to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency throughout their work.

Driving Licence (preferred)
Bendi Forklift Licence (required)
