Staff for Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team starting in November 2026 on a full time, long term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by inspiring students to develop confidence and achievement in mathematics within a supportive and well-established school environment.
The Role
As a Maths Teacher, your main responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons across KS3-KS4.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can achieve their full potential.
• Encouraging students to develop confidence, problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts.
• Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress in line with school policies.
• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting high standards of learning.
• Working collaboratively with the Mathematics department and wider school staff.
• Attending departmental meetings, parents' evenings and school events where required.
• Following all school safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety policies.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• A genuine passion for inspiring young people.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
