About the Home

Our home will provide short-term therapeutic assessments for children and young people, offering a safe, nurturing environment while professionals develop a deeper understanding of their needs, strengths and future plans.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will support young people in the many different aspects of daily life within our homes including:

· Helping young people continue with hobbies, social activities, and friendships, and learn new skills..

· Supporting young people to reach their potential and experience new opportunities.

· Conducting Supervisions for staff members

· Manage the home effectively in the absence of the Deputy or Manager

· Effectively lead shifts, direct and support colleagues

· Manage health and safety processes in the home including the implementation and monitoring of risk assessments

· To support the induction of colleagues into the home

· To be responsible for safeguarding and actively promoting the welfare of children and young people

This won't be a role where you'll spend your day behind a desk.

Instead, you'll be:

• Exploring forests, beaches and local attractions.
• ⚽Playing football, swimming, cycling, gaming and joining in with activities.
• Cooking meals together while teaching valuable life skills.
• Celebrating birthdays, achievements and special moments.
• Taking young people on exciting days out and creating positive memories.
• Encouraging hobbies, creativity and new experiences.
• Building trusting relationships through meaningful conversations.
• Supporting education, daily routines and independence.
• ❤️Helping children manage difficult emotions using therapeutic approaches.
• Producing high-quality records and contributing to professional assessments.
• Working closely with families, social workers, education providers and health professionals.

What You'll Need

• Experience in children's residential care is desirable (essential for Senior Residential
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred.
• Most importantly, the passion and commitment to help children thrive.
