  • Acting as a key point of contact with the SPS Controllers Team on performance, compliance and reporting.
  • Coordinating the contract performance and assurance framework, including KPIs, standards and improvement plans.
  • Producing, analysing and presenting accurate management information and performance reports.
  • Monitoring and validating performance data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinating audits, compliance reviews and assurance activities.
  • Tracking audit and inspection findings and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • Supporting the establishment’s readiness for internal and external inspections, including HMIPS.
  • Working collaboratively across departments to improve performance, governance and service delivery.
  • Promoting a culture of accountability, evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement.

You should have:

  • Experience leading, managing or supervising a team.
  • A strong understanding of performance management frameworks, KPIs and service delivery standards.
  • Experience analysing and presenting complex performance data and management information.
  • Proven experience producing accurate reports for a range of audiences.
  • Experience coordinating or overseeing audits, compliance checks or assurance processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding of governance, compliance and organisational assurance.
  • The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Power BI or similar reporting tools.

Experience within a public sector, custodial or highly regulated environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of contractual performance management, HMIPS inspection requirements, continuous improvement and data protection legislation.

Why this role matters
