At Staff for Education, we are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Secondary Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of secondary schools across the Sheffield area. We have a range of opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, short-term placements and long-term/permanent roles.

The role:
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students and helping them to achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting students in the classroom on a one-to-one or small group basis.
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
• Encouraging student engagement and positive behaviour.
• Providing additional support for pupils with SEND where required.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Supporting students both academically and emotionally throughout the school day.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).
• A positive, patient and enthusiastic attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
• A flexible and reliable approach to work.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
