Staff for Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools across the Worksop area. We have opportunities available for day-to-day supply, short-term placements and long-term assignments, offering flexibility to suit your availability.

Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, an aspiring teacher, a recent graduate or someone with experience working with young people, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with the work that has been set and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Your responsibilities may include:
• Supervising classes across a variety of subjects using pre-planned lesson materials.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensuring students remain focused and complete the work provided.
• Providing support and guidance where appropriate.
• Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress, attendance and behaviour.
• Creating a safe, positive and productive classroom environment.

We welcome applications from candidates who are:
• Experienced Cover Supervisors.
• Graduates considering a career in teaching.
• Teaching Assistants looking to progress into classroom supervision.
• Sports coaches, youth workers, instructors or those with experience working with young people.
• Confident communicators with strong classroom management skills.
• Flexible, reliable and passionate about education.
• Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.
