Staff for Education are proud to be working in partnership with a brilliant Primary School in Wakefield and we are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to work at this school on a full-time, long-term basis starting in October 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils as they make the transition from Key Stage 1 into Key Stage 2.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Year 3 curriculum and the ability to create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence, and love of learning.
The Role
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum
• Supporting pupils as they transition into Key Stage 2
• Developing pupils' skills across reading, writing, maths, and the wider curriculum
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Promoting high standards of behaviour, achievement, and independence
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents/carers
In order to be considered for the role, you must have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching within Year 3 or Key Stage 2 (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
• A positive, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
• The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and the wider school community
