As a Team Leader at our children’s home, you’ll make sure that vulnerable young people get the best from us. It’s a worthwhile role that comes with great training and rewards. Every day, you’ll assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, deputising when required, upholding good practice and motivating the team. When you’re not busy with leadership duties, you’ll work with our youngsters, take part in case reviews and oversee administration. You will be responsible for organising and leading shifts, as well as effectively planning the day to day care of our young people and advising and supervising staff.
To be considered, you’ll need a minimum of 12 months experience in residential childcare and must hold a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent. You will also need to have held a full UK driving license for a minimum of 12 months.
You will need to have the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents and outside agencies. Resilience and understanding will play a big part in your success. You must also be happy to work unsociable hours, be flexible to the needs of the home and work to a rota, including sleep in duties.
