Full Time (40 hours per week)

Based in Dereham, but travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk will be required

Starting Salary of £31,712 with progression opportunities to £35,171 per annum (depending on skill set)

Plus, Company Vehicle and Call out payments

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative, with a main trade of Carpentry/Plumbing to join our Reactive and Empty Homes Team.

This role will work to help deliver an effective and efficient repairs service to our residents, working on our empty homes to ensure they are fit for relet and dealing with reactive repairs in our occupied properties as well. You will ensure that repairs are carried out in a timely manner and to ensure a high standard of work to our properties.

This plays a key role in being responsible in providing an excellent service to our residents, so if you want to help make a difference to our residents, this may be the job for you!

The main focus of the roles will be:

• To be responsible for effective and efficient repairs to our homes, carrying out repairs to a high standard in empty homes and occupied properties.
• To support, when required with the planned works programme (including Aids and Adaptations).
• To complete allocated work within carpentry/ plumbing trade / skill set as well as any additional trade / skills such as tiling, painting / decorating and plastering etc.
• To help us provide an excellent service to our residents, minimising call backs and maximising first time fixes.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry.
• Skilled in other trades such as tiling, plumbing, plastering, painting and decorating etc.
• A driving licence as travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk will be required.
• Experience of working in Property Maintenance
• Good IT, literacy and communication skills
• A positive can-do attitude and the ability to work independently and problem solve.
