Fabricator Welder
Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join a dynamic team based in Broughton Astley. This Fabricator Welder role is a temp-to-perm position, offers an immediate start and the chance to work on a variety of bespoke projects. Position Details
Job Title: Fabricator Welder
Location: Broughton Astley
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00 & Friday: 07:30 – 15:00
Flexibility required for overtime, including early starts from 06:00 as needed.
Pay Rate: £14.50 - £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience) this will be reviewed when permanent
Fabricator Welder Key Responsibilities
As a Fabricator Welder, you will:
• Interpret technical drawings to identify required materials and specifications.
• Fabricate and MIG weld a variety of structural steelwork and architectural metalwork, including staircases,
canopies, fences, gates, and balustrades.
• Perform dab welding to ensure accuracy before completing final welds, regularly checking measurements and
ensuring precise finishes.
• Measure and cut materials using guillotines and other tools.
• Drill holes and assemble materials to specified dimensions.
• Work on bespoke, project-based tasks that require precision, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving.
• Working within a small, experienced team while demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal
supervision.
• MIG weld mild steel ranging from 6mm to 10mm using 1mm wires.
Fabricator Welder Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
We are looking for candidates who:
• Have proven experience as a Fabricator and MIG Welder, particularly in bespoke, project-based work.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Possess a CSCS card for potential onsite installations (preferred but not essential).
• Thrive in a small workshop environment while maintaining productivity and standards of excellence.
