Employer description: 
Minster Law handle pre-dominantly road traffic personal injury claims.

Overview:
An exciting opportunity to join a brand new business and a growing team. 

The successful candidate will work within the team on a variety of tasks including initial client calls, onboarding new clients and setting up their new case, general office support and assisting with chaser phone call and correspondence. 

You must have excellent organisational and communication skills, a strong focus work ethic and be eager to work as part of and contribute to the general success of the team. You will also assist team members and management as and when required. 

Responsibilities: 
First response: 

  • Answering/calling out on all incoming claims referrals from insurer partners and customers.
  • Recording all claim details and information onto the Case Management System.
  • Collaborating digitally by delivering excellent customer service to all clients and communicating both internally and externally via Microsoft Outlook.
  • Providing advice on the claim process to customers, gathering information such as receipts, photographs or valuations, and referring doubtful, complex or high-value claims to a Solicitor,
  • Gathering information on new claims referred to the department,
  • Assisting with scanning of mail correspondence and documents to upload digitally and allocate to the correct files.

File Management: 

  • Working with the Case Management System (CMS), you will become an expert on this system, and Excel to create new cases, entering case details accurately and filing daily correspondence. 
  • Using the CMS and Excel to search and maintain client details, ensuring all MI is kept up to date. 
  • Dealing with file requests made by staff and Partners.
  • Conducting chaser telephone calls to clients, GP surgeries, hospitals, payroll departments and insurance companies.

  • Excellent communication skills and confident telephone manner and letter and email correspondence. 
  • Accountable for achieving objectives in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of work quality and client care.
  • Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Maintains a positive attitude, self-motivated and uses own initiative.
  • Robust - able to deal with changing circumstances and challenging situations whilst still achieving objectives.

Working week:
Monday - Friday, 
9am - 5pm, 
35hrs a week. 

Salary:
£22,932 per annum.

Progression: 
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is the opportunity to stay within Minster Law and progress into roles such as Claims Handler.
