Job Title – Finance Assistant
Location – Hoddesdon, EN11 0DR (office based)
Contract - Full Time and permanent 37.5 hours - Monday to Friday
Salary – £23,480.55
Residential Management Group, one of the UK’s largest Property Management Companies, is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to become an integral part of our Client Banking Team at our head office in Hoddesdon, EN11 0DR. Working a 7.5 hour day, there is some flexible regarding start and finish times – e.g. 8am to 4pm, 8.30am to 4.30pm or 9am to 5pm.
As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for the financial processing and controls of client bank accounts in what is a transactional role, focusing on reconciliations and both accounts receivable and payable
What are some of the tasks I will be doing day to day?
- Carry out daily bank reconciliations ensuring all open items are investigated and resolved
- Ensure that a clean ARMA client monies audit is achieved each year
- Process customer direct debit receipts
- Facilitate the processing of urgent supplier payments
- Prepare formal monthly bank rec's to be held on file
- Upload BACS/CHAPS payment following the daily payment run
- Assist the wider business with queries around locating receipts/payments
- Following & adhering to company processes, procedures & policies
What are we looking for from you?
- Ability to confidently use Microsoft Word and Outlook; and Excel to Intermediate Level
- High level of attention to detail & strong time management skills required
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide a consistent high level of customer service, to both internal and external customers.
- Previous experience in bank reconciliation, accounts receivable & accounts payable is desirable
- Ability to make decisions both independently & collaboratively
