Role Specification

Role overview:
The role is based in evo’s offices in Normanton, Wakefield. The evo Product Marketing team will consist of 11 people, providing product marketing across all channels within evo group. The team regularly collaborates with the wider corporate marketing team as well as all sales teams within the group.

The role reports into the evo Product Marketing Manager UK & IRE.

Role Objective:

The Product Marketing Executive will help to plan, co-ordinate and execute marketing activity in conjunction with the sales and buying teams. With the main aim of the role being to drive sales via product marketing. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience working in B2B and B2C marketing, working across all evo brands – VOW Wholesale, Banner, Complete and Staples.co.uk.

The overall goal is to plan and execute activities on behalf of evo’s supplier partners, across the group. The successful candidate will work closely with the Product Marketing Manager UK & IRE to liaise with suppliers and execute agreed marketing plans. They will be competent briefing in materials to various inhouse studio teams, be heavily involved in launching and executing plans with the sales teams, and proactively pick up all administration tasks associated with the role.

Summary of Role Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and activation of category and supplier marketing plans
  • Ownership of category specific Marketing Development Fund
  • Briefing artwork for campaigns to relevant internal creative departments
  • Create and schedule supplier content to be posted from evo social media accounts
  • Ownership of quarterly end user marketing content, including liaising with suppliers, and checking artwork to ensure all tools are correct and uploaded for the start of the quarter
  • Create pitch packs and showcase activity to suppliers In order to obtain their buy in to the suggested marketing activity
  • Create a sales toolkit presentation to launch quarterly marketing plan to the sales teams, dealer groups and resellers
  • Working with suppliers to create end to end marketing campaigns where required, in collaboration with Marketing Managers
  • Analyse and produce reports on all marketing activities, in order to review the success of campaigns, both internally and for supplier use
  • Utilise the reporting to make recommendations for future campaigns
  • Drive the timelines and critical path for activity required
  • Internal communications to all sales teams on marketing activities and communications
  • Covering for other marketing areas as and when required
  • Stakeholder communication, internal and external via all mediums
  • Any other tasks as required by Product Marketing Manager or Head of Product Marketing

Person Specification

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Good organisational and planning skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Ability to be flexible as the role dictates
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the Marketing mix
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office tools
  • Outstanding execution, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Readiness to operate in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Ability to manage own workload competently

Desirable

  • BA or BSc’ in a Marketing discipline or equivalent marketing qualification
  • A track record in a marketing environment and good knowledge of Marketing techniques
  • Copywriting skills to write editorial copy and press releases
  • A creative flair
  • Pro-active and tenacious
  • Numerate and analytical
  • Aware of current product marketing trends
  • Driving license
