We are currently looking for a Sustainability Analyst - Strategy & Performance to join our team based out of our head office in Solihull. 

This is exciting role works with strategy, decarbonisation, operational and commercial managers to improve systems that support Tarmac’s Sustainability goals. As Sustainability Analyst, you will be supporting the business with compiling and reporting information and data to measure business sustainability performance in line with Tarmac's sustainability objectives.  This key role assists the wider business through the provision of insights into sustainability performance aligned to key metrics and supports with guidance on data monitoring, reporting and auditing.

Main Responsibilities

The Sustainability Analyst - Strategy & Performance, works with Snr Manager: Strategy and Regulatory Affairs and wider Sustainability Team to improve, develop and implement systems to support Tarmac’s Sustainability goals. Delivers, compiles and manages sustainability reporting information and data to ensure compliance/certification with internal and external schemes. Assists key personnel within the wider business with guidance on data monitoring, data quality, performance and auditing.  Supporting the wider business on delivery of Tarmac’s Sustainability strategy.

• Support the Snr Manager Strategy and Regulatory Affairs in setting and maintaining reporting standards for sustainability performance data.

• Manage and maintain sustainability performance data ensuring quality, completeness, accuracy, traceability and procedure implementation.

•Develop reporting dashboards and data visualisation for performance communication to all levels of the business

•Support internal and 3rd party verification and audit of sustainability performance data

•Deliver internal and external sustainability reporting for multiple stakeholders including BUs, CRH, MPA, BPCF and Sustainability Team

•Support the Snr Manager Strategy and Regulatory Affairs in delivery and development of the sustainability strategy, objectives and targets

•Support compliance with key reporting schemes, including ISO 50001, BES 6001, SECR, ISO 50001 and PPN 06/21.

•Support the development and implementation of training programmes to BU teams to improve compliance.

•Contribute to and provide support to other Sustainability Team initiatives as needed.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Sustainability Analyst - Strategy & Performance, will possess proven knowledge and experience of sustainability.

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills with a high level of analytical ability and the capability to tackle complex data challenges.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g. Excel), data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) and experience in identifying new and informative ways to share data insights.
  • Experience in implementing, maintaining and improving data quality standards and processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data.
  • Ability to communicate complex information simply and clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent personal management skills, able to work autonomously, manage and prioritise multiple streams of work and be a self-starter
  • Engaged and knowledgeable of sustainability and associated issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop relationships and networks
  • Flexible and keen to take on and learn new tasks and skills
  • Customer focused
