Staff for Education are proud to be working in partnership with many SEND Schools in Chesterfield and the local surrounding areas and we are currently recruiting for 1:1 Teaching Assistants for day-to-day, short term and long term supply roles.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:
• Provide individualized support to a designated student with specific learning needs or disabilities.
• Assist the student with classroom activities, ensuring they understand and engage with the material.
• Implement tailored learning strategies and interventions as directed by the teacher and Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO).
• Monitor the student's progress and provide feedback to the teacher and SENCO.
• Support the student with social and emotional development.
• Help the student with personal care tasks, if necessary.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure the student's needs are met.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

To be successful for the role, you will:
• Have a recognised Teaching Assistant Qualification/experience
• Have previous experience working within a school environment
• Have a passion for working with young people and enhancing their learning
