We are currently recruiting for a Buying Licensing Manager to join our Buying Team based at our Head Office and Distribution Centre in Gillmoss, Liverpool.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing licensing commercial agreements with key licensor partnerships. You will collaborate closely with the buying team to create a comprehensive licensed product range, setting sales forecasts based on market and consumer trends, and adhering to our buying principles.

Your role will involve conducting thorough due diligence on new and preferred suppliers to ensure compliance with all licensing agreements, and you will be responsible for presenting sales and company data to various stakeholders.

Job Overview
  • Develop and implement licensing agreements with key partners.
  • Collaborate with the buying team to create a licensed range and set sales forecasts based on market trends and principles.
  • Conduct due diligence on suppliers to ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Present sales and company data to stakeholders and manage sales forecasting and KPIs.
  • Oversee the product development cycle from samples to store placement.
  • Conduct competitive shopping, store visits, trade shows, and market research to develop licensor opportunities.
  • Negotiate and renegotiate licensing terms, source compliant suppliers, and manage royalty reporting.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Legal, and Finance to review licensing and audit plans, ensuring compliance and resolving issues.
Minimum Criteria To Apply
  • Experience in a retail buying or licensing environment.
  • Experience in developing and managing commercial licensing agreements and/or ranges.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Commercially astute with a strong customer focus.
  • Excellent influencing and persuading abilities.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
