Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week/ 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight)
We’re seeking an experienced Recruitment Assistant to join our team. The team are focussed on providing a simple and effective recruitment service to the organisation, enabling us to support our residents.
As Recruitment Assistant you will be a key point of contact for applicants, new starters and our hiring managers. You will provide advice and guidance from the point of advertising right through to onboarding, delivering a professional, high quality and responsive service.
You’ll be responsible for the onboarding of new starters, issuing contracts, obtaining references and compliance information. Managing a case load of new starters at different stages of the onboarding process, working to tight deadlines, you will need to effectively prioritise your workload. As an ambassador for Housing 21 you will provide a fantastic first impression of the organisation.
This is a fast paced, high-volume role, you will need have a good understanding of employment regulations, excellent attention to detail, be able to multi-task. You’ll need great customer service skills too, providing an easy, supportive & efficient service to stakeholders and candidates.
While the role is home based the successful candidate will be required to attend team meetings at our head office in Birmingham as required.

What we’re looking for
The essential requirements for the role include:
• Experience of working in a recruitment role with knowledge of end to end recruitment processes
• Experience of working in a fast paced, high-volume environment, with excellent attention to detail
• Experience of providing excellent customer service, putting the customer at the heart of what we do
• Flexible and adaptable to the needs of customers and to the business
• Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection legislation
• Willing to speak up and challenge to improve how we work, providing suggestions and feedback where required
• Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to work alone and as part of the wider team
• Flexibility to undertake wide range of responsibilities and always willing to learn new skills
• Educated to GCSE Grade C (Level 4) or above or equivalent experience.
• CIPD level 3 or equivalent experience of working in a recruitment environment
