Do you want to work in the valued community setting of Tamworth Library?

Tamworth is a recently re-furbished busy town library which offers a wide range of community activities. The library building is shared with Children’s Services and Registrars.

In this role you will be providing effective Library Attendant support for our premises and supporting our staff in the day to day running of the library.

You will be based at Tamworth Library, working 10 hours per week. The hours will be primarily Monday - Friday with some cover essential between 5.00- 7.00pm but generally 3.00-5.00pm

Main Responsibilities

To give you an idea of some of the key things you will do:

  • You will be involved in the security of the building, be a keyholder and first on the emergency call out list when building is closed.
  • You will carry out cleaning duties including keeping the outside of the building clean and tidy.
  • Day to day porterage duties.
  • Undertake various Health and Safety checks, including Fire Testing, Emergency Lighting checks and Water Testing.
