MESS MANAGER – WARD BARRACKS

Sodexo delivers a wide range of Catering and Food services to meet the unique and varied needs of the whole force. Our facilities Management expertise keeps our sites running smoothly, while our Property Services ensure that client infrastructure and equipment is well cared for.

We are now seeking an organised and conscientious Mess Manager to oversee the operational running of the Sergeants and Warrant Officers Mess which serves as a social hub and dining facility for service members at Ward Barracks.

This is small operation that prepares and serves up to 40 covers per sitting per day from a pre-set rolling menu 365 days per year.

With proven experience in hotel or hospitality management you will put people and customer service at the heart of everything you do. The Mess is more than an eatery for our forces it’s home.

You will have direct management responsibility for a team encompassing all the catering, front of house, bar and cleaning within the Mess.

You will have high standards and the proven experience to lead by example with credibility and conducting yourself with integrity at all times in line with the expectation of the Military Personnel based upon site.

Though this role will be Monday to Friday there is an expectation to work some weekends and evenings to cater for functions as and when necessary.
