We’re recruiting for a Repairs Surveyor working across Portsmouth on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week. Whilst we’ll try to keep you local, you’ll need to be prepared to travel to and work from our other locations in Hampshire and bordering counties. This is a hybrid role with the expectation that you'll be in the office a minimum of three days a week, to promote collaboration and team working.

As a repairs surveyor you’ll play a key role in supporting our building maintenance service with your technical knowledge and experience. Excellent building pathology knowledge and diagnostic skills are essential. You will have a relevant technical (HNC or higher) qualification in Building Surveying, or a similar technical field, and have experience working in social housing.
You’ll work closely with our repairs supervisors to support them on a day-to-day basis with technical enquiries. You’ll also manage your own repairs and projects, carrying out pre/post/work in progress surveys to determine what repairs and maintenance works are needed. Works will be appropriately allocated to our in-house repairs team and approved contractors.
With our focus on delivering a good customer experience, you’ll carry out complaint investigations and take action to resolve matters quickly. You will carry out the day-to-day management of our contractors, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, KPI’s /SLA’s. You will organise and attend monthly contract meetings with our contractors, taking minutes and recording performance and spend, continual seeking improvements to the way we do things.
You'll have good overall knowledge and experience of providing a repairs & maintenance service, including health & safety processes and procedures. A good knowledge of Microsoft toolset is required.
You need a full, clean current driving licence and access to your own vehicle (A mileage contribution will be paid) Offers are subject to a satisfactory online DVLA driving licence check, as well as a DBS check.
