ArrowXL is now recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our busy Warehouse team in Worcester. Leading a team of hardworking Warehouse Operatives, you will hold responsibility for the smooth operation of our Warehouse function on the Night Shift, ensuring our delivery crews are loaded up to deliver the best service for all our customers.

• 40 hours per week, working 4 over 6
• Working hours: 08:45 - 07:15
• £13.39 per hour, plus 20% Shift Allowance

Reporting to the Warehouse First Line Manager, responsibilities will include:

Operational

• Take accountability for the work area you are assigned to (Receiving, picking, loading, putaway etc).
• Lead from the front with warehouse and product placement standards – Warehouse Excellence.
• Manage the team’s achievement of performance targets set through strong leadership.
• Ensure you and all team members manage stock integrity as it is handled.
• Manage the team so that all products are Quality Control checked upon receipt and after each product movement.
• Manage the team’s activities to ensure the shift completes all agreed tasks on time and in excess of minimum key performance indicators and quality standards.
• Operate the team to high standards of hygiene and housekeeping.
• Complete administration and data capture in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure that all team members operate within legislative requirements especially Health & Safety.
• Continually identify opportunities to improve ‘under the roof’ KPI’s.
• Challenge the status quo and passionate about driving ideas through to implementation.

People Management:

• Communicate clearly so that all direct reports and any team members are aware of their objectives and the standards required, ensuring that these are aligned to both functional and broader business objectives.
• Define and manage day to day activities, being clear about priorities to ensure that deadlines are met.
• Accountable for ensuring the quality of the work at ‘Professional’ level and the performance of their team members where applicable.
• Role model positive behaviours in keeping with our values, recognising good / excellent performance whilst being clear and transparent about areas of underperformance concerning direct line reports and their teams.
• Pro-active coaching/ mentoring of other team members to understand the levels of excellence required within their role.
• Provide clear advice and direction on how to change and bring about improvements where these need to be made.
• Pro-actively resolve conflict among team members quickly and fairly.
• Pro-actively manage any poor conduct and / or behaviour in keeping with AXL policy and procedure.

Role Specific Requirements:

• Experience of Red Prairie, Empactis, Qlikview, ODS, Viewpoint is advantageous.
