Responsibilities:

As a valued member of the commercial team, the EV charging BD executive, will play a critical role in driving sales initiatives and business development from our channel partners and outbound sales activities.

The main focus of the role will be to identify and engage with inbound and outbound prospective clients. Building and maintaining relationships, and ultimately driving revenue growth across our portfolio of products and services in the rapidly expanding EV charging market.

Key Requirements:

  • Kick-off the sales process by engaging with inbound prospective clients and actively identify your own pipeline of qualified leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate terms within a framework, and close sales opportunities.
  • Proactively manage and update your sales pipeline in a CRM. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous.
  • Act as the primary point of contact throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with the internal marketing, commercial partnerships, and operations teams to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the project management teams to address client requests and provide technical support.
  • Support the Head of Commercial Sales to proactively identify areas of improvement to optimise sales performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, technological and company advancements in the EV/Renewable energy sector.
  • Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience, preferable within the EV Charging Solutions sector.
  • Track record of success in B2B sales and relationship development.
  • Proficient in CRM software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Computer literate with ability to operate Microsoft Office and email.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.

What you will receive:

  • £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
  • Hybrid working, office located in Manchester
  • 30 Days holiday incremental to 33 days with yearly service (inclusive of Bank holidays)
