As a Category Director - FM, Global Supply Management at Sodexo, working hybrid with 2 days a week in our Stevenage office, you are a strategic leader and a key influencer in our procurement operations. This role allows you to leverage your expertise to manage supplier contracts and develop strategies that deliver substantial value to Sodexo and our clients. In this critical role, you will oversee the management of various categories and collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to enhance Sodexo’s operational efficiency and market competitiveness. This position gives you the opportunity to drive innovation and strategic initiatives across international markets, directly impacting our success and growth.

What you’ll do:
  • Manage and develop global category strategies in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regional buyers to implement effective procurement strategies.
  • Negotiate and manage international supplier contracts to optimize cost and ensure supply chain efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers to enhance Sodexo’s procurement capabilities.
  • Coordinate with buying teams across regions to ensure strategy alignment and execution.
  • Oversee sourcing activities with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership to enhance value and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Management Finance team for accurate financial tracking and performance assessment.
 
What you bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree with CIPS/ISM or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, with a preference for experience within the Sodexo group.
  • Strong track record in delivering value and managing complex negotiations with suppliers.
  • Experience in a multicultural and matrix environment is required; international experience is preferred.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrable financial understanding and orientation towards achieving business results.
  • Experienced in category management, strategic planning, and project management.
