Job Description

Maintenance Operative.

37.5 Hours per week.

Annual Salary of £23,790.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our team in Great Ellingham.

The successful candidate will play a vital part in promoting health and safety standards around Westward care, 8 Acres, maintaining a safe working and living environment for our staff and the people we support. Your duties will include;

  • Undertake general facilities support tasks, including furniture building and furniture removals, grounds and site clearance, and keeping areas clean and tidy generally.
  • Complete minor repairs.
  • Manage and prioritise own workload in order to complete repairs in a timely manner and in accordance with KPI/SLA timescales.
  • Communicate effectively with building occupiers to minimise inconvenience when planning and undertaking building maintenance.
  • Carry out such other maintenance duties as required or delegated by the Maintenance Team Leader or Operational teams.
  • Ensuring that quality standards are met regarding all compliance, planned and preventative maintenance records.
  • Ensure our services remain an environmentally safe place to live for the people we support.
  • Ensure National Care Group’s vision and values are always adhered to.

  • The ability to manage projects
  • Strong communication skills across all levels
  • Good awareness of Health and Safety regulations
  • Flexible approach to working from time to time
  • Experience in a maintenance role
  • Ability to manage own workload
