Role: Maintenance Assistant

We are looking to appoint a Maintenance Assistant within the maintenance team. The role will report into the Estates Manager and will involve carrying out routine and planned maintenance work to maintain and improve the facilities, buildings and grounds to ensure a first class living and safe working environment for the residents, students, service users and staff of David Lewis. This includes general repair jobs, moving and handling of equipment and materials and supporting other qualified tradespersons.
The successful candidate will ideally have a number of years’ general maintenance in a buildings/ facilities, estates or a construction environment. Qualifications relevant to general property maintenance are not essential but skills and experience would be highly desirable.
Most importantly the successful candidate will demonstrate a customer focus service, a positive ‘can do’ attitude and will have a genuine interest in in the maintenance work covered .Furthermore, you will need to be fit for the physical demands of the role, be reliable and flexible and demonstrate that you can work safely. A full (clean) driving licence is also required.
