Sodexo has a great opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our established team working with our clients, AstraZeneca, based in Cambridge.
Joining our team at their large Discovery Centre site, you will manage and control the services of full IFM for the client to the agreed specification and to the agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets as well as lead the operating areas and the teams to ensure delivery against Key Performance Indicators.
The Operations Manager will provide direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting Sodexo strategies and best business practices in order to uphold the Company mission & values and deliver an ethos that promotes IFM with value focused on the customer and service to support.
You will be responsible for proactively managing services across the R&D Centre and future supporting buildings, providing support and guidance to Customer Service Managers ensuring a high level of services provided to the client and motivate & lead high performing teams to achieve their objectives.
The successful candidate will have to come up to speed quickly on complex stakeholder map spanning multiple organisations in a highly dynamic environment where you may have to be flexible with your schedule around construction process requirements at short notice and therefore, the role requires a high degree of flexibility and agility.
About You
Experience and knowledge requirement for this role:
- Highly experienced manager with proven ability to inspire and motivate workforce to deliver world class customer service
- High level of practical knowledge of relevant employment, hygiene, Health and Safety and general legislative requirements
- Proven experience of successfully managing and delivering budgets
- Demonstrable evidence of the required manager behaviours
- Background in the pharmaceutical or GMP industry is highly desired
- Competency in Sodexo accountancy systems and processes
- Excellent communication skills and customer service experience
Qualifications required:
- IOSH Certificate in Managing Safely
