In this position, you will handle the administration and oversight of DBS processes and provide support for TUPE transactions. Your work will directly influence the effectiveness and compliance of our services, making this role essential to our operations during peak academic periods.

This role will require applicants to undergo screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and/ or Disclosure Scotland.  

What you’ll do:
  • Respond to DBS-related queries and manage the administration of Enhanced DBS Disclosure applications.
  • Maintain and update the Central Register of Appointments, ensuring accuracy and security of data.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on DBS processes and policy adherence.
  • Assist in the development and review of policies related to DBS and TUPE.
  • Handle specific Child Protection project work as required.
  • Support TUPE administration tasks during key periods.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and audit requirements.
 
What you bring:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience in HR, with knowledge of DBS and safer recruitment processes preferred.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact and advise at various organisational levels.
  • Independent worker, capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to handle a variable workload.
  • Availability for occasional travel as required for business needs.
