We are looking for an experienced Product Manager, ideally with a background in strategy consulting, someone who thrives on challenge and working in a constantly changing and evolving environment.

Focus will be on working with the Product Director development to provide strategic and operational support within the business ensuring the corporate strategy will achieve Speedy’s Vision, and the velocity programme stays focused on the critical activity that will support the strategy and deliver our vision for Speedy.   Whilst engaging with the wider Speedy business to gain traction and identify new areas of opportunity

Role will have significant a regular interaction with senior leadership across the organisation.  They need the experience to be to influence and challenge on complex topics at the most senior levels across a wide stakeholder group successfully.

Product Management
  • You'll inspire, coach and guide a squad to ensure the delivery of outcomes to support the customer and business.
  • You'll be ruthlessly customer focussed by interrogating customer insight and data to identify key customer needs whilst supporting business priorities.
  • You’ll use the product vision and strategy to define and evolve objectives and key results for your squad.
  • You'll input into your squad strategy and prioritise a backlog to support this with a positive value to effort ratio.
  • You'll leverage the squad's skills to collaboratively discover and iterate solutions that are valuable, usable, feasible and viable.
  • You'll measure and clearly communicate your product’s performance and demonstrate how this contributes to the digital and business objectives.
  • You'll nurture partnerships with stakeholders and collaborate with them to achieve the product vision.
  • You’ll develop and own your team’s product roadmap.   You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure that the roadmap continually meets the overall transformation objectives and functional needs, to ultimately deliver our “Velocity” outcomes.
  • You’ll work exceptionally closely with the technology teams to ensure that the solutions being delivered are fit for purpose, support the required outcomes, and can scale and adapt as the landscape changes.
  • You’ll continually look to improve the ways of working, being an advocate for agile development through product centric teams – delivering value incrementally.

  • Analytical – data motivated , consuming data and insight, utilising this to make sound decisions and drive great customer experiences
Experience

Deep demonstrable experience of working within one or both of the following domains:
Digital
  • Experience as a product manager within the digital domain, delivering changes to a product that resulted in measurable value to an organisation.
  • Experience defining new and modified user journeys across mobile, web and app channels.  Adding new business capabilities and driving ongoing continuous improvement in key metrics.  
  • Passionate about Customer Experience, defining and delivering changes which improve the overall user experience on digital channels.
  • Highly analytical, experienced working with large datasets including common digital KPI’s to identify trends and insights that result in new backlog items.
Fulfilment / Logistics
  • Experienced at the systems and capabilities required to drive fulfilment operations in complex organisations.  These may include Logistics, Order management, Fulfilment, Replenishment, Inventory, Distribution and/or Warehouse management capabilities.
  • Understands Agile delivery methodologies, has worked as part of a squad previously, and has understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
  • Experience in working with tools such as Confluence, Jira or equivalent.
  • Experience coaching and develop team members to continually improve processes, methods, and routines to optimise the performance of the squad.
  • Experience working with cross-functional product squads including Developers, Testers, Analysts, User Experience, Visual Design, Scrum masters to deliver products that meet customer needs and drive business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and insights to inform product development decisions and drive business outcomes.
  • A deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate those needs into product requirements.
