Landmarc Support Services are looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician (Targetry) to join a small technical team at Brunswick on the outskirts of Pirbright Camp in Surrey.

The successful person will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs to Targetry equipment and the relevant firing systems supporting the Defence Estate delivery, focusing on all aspects of inspections, tests and general maintenance of the Targetry equipment, whilst liaising with Range HQ to ensure you are safe working on a live firing range.

 

Hours of work - 37 per week

Days of work -  Monday - Friday

Contract - Permanent, Full Time

Main Responsibilities

Undertake repair and maintenance of all Targetry equipment located in Home Counties

Co-ordinate and plan a preventive maintenance programme for all Targetry assets

Manage and maintain the local Targetry spares pool and spares packs and inform the Range and Training Area Manager of any deficiencies

Be available to assist and advise on local Targetry issues

When requested provide Targetry support cover for other technicians in the south east during sickness or holiday

Provide accurate work orders, timesheets and expense claims when appropriate and forward to the Range and Training Area Manager

To develop and maintain effective collaborative working relationships with staff, managers

And external contacts and other relevant bodies

All work required is to be completed within strict timeframes to ensure KPI’s are met

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge of H&S such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work

Knowledge on Targetry or similar systems

Experience of communicating with customers

Knowledge in working in confined spaces

Knowledge of Asbestos awareness

A basic knowledge/understanding of UHF radio and computer hardware, software, Wi-Fi and Ethernet configuration

Understanding Technical Manual and circuit diagrams

Strip and assemble to and from component level
